When you are holiday there is only one item of clothing which you really need to ensure that you spend some time and money investing in and that is a good structured and well-fitting bikini. Your is the one item that you will wear every single day on your holiday yet it is often the one item of clothing that people just pick up. A good fitting bikini can totally transform your body into a beach goddess. A key area is the bikini bottoms, the last thing you want is to get muffin tops when on holiday so make sure that you buy a pair that actually fit, there is no point buying a bikini that is too small and telling yourself that you’ll lose weight before you go, ensure that it fits you when you buy it!
The summer festival season is now well underway and as many girls will know, the idea of remaining fashionable, comfortable and dry in the unpredictable British weather is a serious challenge. However, there are some simple rules that will ensure that you look and feel at all the festivals this season. The first and most important tip is to invest in a decent pair of wellies! The Hunter brand are the celeb favourite and with Jimmy Choo recently customising some in a crocodile effect these are the perfect choice for anyone wanting to bring some designer flare to their festival trip. Also buy a nice hat, this will cover up any bad hair days, will keep you shaded should the some come out and will keep you warm should the weather turn cold too.
As the recession continues many of us are looking at our summer wardrobe and wishing we could add a few new pieces to it but with the credit crunch still in full swing we just can’t justify the extra spend. But help is at hand with the rise of the ‘recessionista’ according to a new survey this is a money savvy lady who likes to look good but on a tight budget. These women are seeking out bargain items that don’t compromise on style. It appears that looking good this summer is not hard with the rise of stores such as Primark, George at Asda, Matalan and e-bay we can all update our summer wardrobe without having to break the bank.
It was just over 10 years ago that Victoria Beckham was known as Posh Spice and wore only little black dresses as her role in the Spice Girls. She was often branded as the one with no talent who only pouted but since the Spice Girls Victoria Beckham has come out from behind the shadows of her famous footballer husband, David Beckham, to reveal herself, not only as a fashion icon but also as a designer. Her first collection was praised by top fashion critics a couple of seasons ago and since then her collections have gone from strength to strength. Her celebrity friends are often spotted at film premiers and show-biz events wearing her creations. The other day the American singer Nicole Scherzinger wore a Victoria Beckham dress from her spring/summer 2010 collection at the X Factor auditions in Manchester and if she and her A list friend continue to wear her designs she will continue to reinvent herself as a credible fashion designer.
Last night saw British celebrities put on their best designer dresses and head to the Westfield Shopping Centre in London as online retailer, Net-a-Porter, celebrated a decade of successful trading. The likes of Victoria Beckham and Sophie Ellis Bextor attended the celebrity party and they were joined by Net-a-Porters founder Natalie Massenet, who sold her share of the company for £50million in April this year. Net-a-Porter is currently rated 83rd on the in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, and since its launch in June 2000 it has become THE source of designer clothes online. The company is an online heaven of designer and couture clothes from designers such as Christian Dior and Chanel, and it now employs more than 500 people in New York City and London and claims to have over two million viewers per month and I’m sure it will continue to go from strength to strength.
It was the showing of Sex And The City 2 movie and all the celebrities were out in their best frocks to impress on the red carpet.
The ladies i thought were the best dresses were:
Sarah Jessica Parker looked stunning in lemon a flowing floor length Valentino Couture dress
Kristin Davis had a pink boob tube floor length Jean dress on
Cyntia Nixon had a floor length black dress with fish tail by Carolina Herrera
Whitney Port (The Hills & The City) had a cute black short boob tube dress on but i am not too keen on the shoes
Ashanti looked stunning as always in a slashed shoulder long sleaved black dress.
I am sooo happy as Maxi Dresses will be a key wardrobe item for the summer of 2010 and the reason i am excited is that they hide all the bits that wobble and you are not happy with.
depending on what shape you are there are lots of different styles out there for all body shapes and i love the boob tube style.
below is a list of places to have a look for your perfect Maxi Dress:

let me know where is your favorite shop so other people can have a look.
With the summer season finally with us i have been looking at the different shorts which are available as i have been in dresses all weekend and have had no sun to my rather pale legs..
there are lots of different styles available this season and i must say my favorite are the Jersey Shorts and the denim shorts.
If you go on sites like Asos.com or even got to TopShop and get a personal shopper (you are not obliged to buy anything) you can find out the best items to match to the shorts if you are useless like me and cant match a vest to a pair of jeans..
Every girl must have a set of GHD hair straighteners in her bedroom as these are in my opinion the best hair straighteners around at the moment.
They have brought our their new range which are bright colors of green, red, blue and purple and i must say they look really funky.. www.asos.com are selling them at £129.00 and at the moment there is free delivery on all items.
These come with a bag to put them in and also a box that looks like a glasses case (i presume for traveling so you don’t break them).
A great thing with the new ones coming out the old ones have gone down in price, they have gone from £129 to £98 and you get a bag which has a heat proof mat attached so you don’t burn the area you place them on in between styling.
The great thing about GHD’s is that if you forget to turn them off they automatically turn off after 30 minutes so you wont risk burning your house down.

Chloe has brought out a new range called See by Chloe which is basically Chloe items with a lower price tag.
My friends have just bought me a purse and i absolutely love it and i am trying to get my boyfriend to buy me a handbag by them as well.
www.net-a-porter.com is a great site to view the range they have on offer. They have handbags, purses, dresses, jackets, shoes, jumpsuits, blouses, shorts, wellies, boots, jumpers, cardigans and many more items to choose from and the prices to go with these are very reasonable for designer items.
let me know what is your favorite item…
