According to a recent reports women are no longer satisfied with a Congratulations and a healthy baby once they have given birth, no no they want to be showered in Jewellery for this achievement!!

Stores such as Tiffany & Co have been marketing new rings with pink or blue sapphire’s for new mothers.

I personally think that this is crazy I mean how far can you go? There are so many marketing things now just to make money!! I think people get greedy they want more and more! I would be satisfied with my new baby, I definitely wouldn’t need a coloured ring to prove anything!

I’m a big fan of the Vintage look, I love different quirky things especially with some history!

Following my post last week about gold becoming more popular apparently its rocketed so much in the states that people have been rooting through their jewellery boxes to sell there old gold pieces for cash!!

Because of this increase in sales people have been advised to cash in now with any jewellery they don’t wear, according to some jewellers in the city they have been bombarded with allsorts from necklaces to charms to sentimental rings! 

I would definitely get rid of any old gold if I had the chance but not sure about sentimental things?!

As of this month I will be starting an new monthly feature covering precious stones, starting with Birthstones. Every month I will be covering each Zodiac sign’s birthstone.

According to a New York shopper’s the price of gold Jewellery has shot up by twenty percent.

In the past year gold has become more popular than silver, most department stores such as Tiffany have raised their prices to increase profits and demands!

I am definitely a silver girl myself. I like gold and wear some gold costume jewellery sometimes when I’m going out but not for everyday. I think you either suit one or the other, what do you think?

I’ve just spotted this picture of Salma Hayek out at some showbiz thing in Hollywood. I think she looks ultra sexy in this beautiful flower shaped necklace, it’s perfect with the outfit!

The new mum hasn’t wasted anytime getting back to her sexy self, she gave birth to daughter Valentina less than three months ago!!! But I’m sure motherhood gives you that extra sparkle? Well it seems to in the world of celebrity’s anyway!
