For all of you who are on the dating scene at the moment make sure you accessorise your outfit to give you that extra confidence, i know it sounds stupid but when you have an outfit on you are happy with you look happy on the outside but i know when you dont you just dont want to be there.
Dont forget to put you earrings in, ring on and bracelet on but remember to over accessorize is ok at the moment, i love piling on the jewellery especially when i am wearing my pearls and cream/white jewellery with a black outfit as it brings some colour out but black is still a slimming colour.
Jewellery does not have to cost a fortune, all the high street shops like Topshop, River Island, Dorothy Perkins, New Look etc have gorgeous items which will not clear you out because you always have to remember when dating he may just ask you to pay half of the bill.

studs

I am really into the stud earrings at the moment as i seem to wear my hair up a lot at the moment because it is at an awkward length but i am not on the dating scene at the moment so i dont have to worry about all this.

I heard the other day that when proposing to your girlfriend you should spend at least 3 months wages on an engagement ring, who the hell ever made that up??  It should not be about the size or how much it cost it should be the thought that counts and anyone who thinks differently is a very shallow person.

The only people in this current climate are celebrities or high powered business me who are still loosing everything at the drop of a hat, and Celebrities just seem to get engaged for the fun of it.

Paris Hilton was rumored to have said to another celebrity that her engagement ring was bigger than theirs which i thought was really bitchy but i would not expect anything less than that from her.

So for all you shallow women who would actually say no to a proposal because of the size or price of the ring get a life and grow up…..

I have only just noticed that New Look has a range for Teenagers which has quite a large section for the jewellery range and accessories.

When i was young there was only Tammy Girl (which has now closed down) which we could shop in but now there is more of a range for Teenage girls but i cant help but notice they are still trying to dress older than they actually are.

The jewellery seems to range from about £4 to £10 and the stuff is not half bad either.

I am loving all the white jewellery out at the moment, i went to Primark the other week and walked away with a pearl headbank, pearl bracelet, 2 pearl necklaces and a pair of white plastic bracelets all for under £15.

Asos has a good range of white plastic jewellery like this bow plastic bracelet below for only £6 but it does come in black as well.

asos-bow-braceletThis colour is great for making the dullest little black dress look alive with a bit of colour.  I decided to wear all my jewellery i got from primark at once except for the headband…

Marks and Spencers have brought out a Wedding Ring and Engagement ring for just £18 for both.  They are made of Tin and plated in platinum and have fake Diamonds in and instead of a hall mark there is the M&S logo.

A M&S spokeswoman Rekha Kannan said: “These rings are for the bridegroom who wants the look of real diamonds but can’t necessarily afford them”
“They are perfect for credit crunch weddings – they look really beautiful but you don’t have to break the bank. You wouldn’t know they’re not diamonds.”

An average engagement ring usually costs £1412 with a wedding band costing £476 so this is your cheaper alternative..

With the Christmas period over and done with i know everyone will have a bit more money to be going out and will now be looking for the perfect accessorie to go with their Going out Dresses.  All the high street stores (what is left of them as they all seem to be closing down) and online stores have a large selection of jewellery from the chandelier earrings to the necklaces and the funky bracelets.
You can also add a bit of bling with your dress by finding one with a bit of sparkle to it or some seaquins (try Asos for a few examples), although the lace dresses are all in this season so it would have to be for a special occasion.
Waist belts are an alternative to funk up your going out dresses and can be purchased in all sizes, shapes and colours.  I love the t’shirt dresses with a belt just below your bust which not only makes your waist look tiny but also makes you look like you have larger assets than you were born with.
If you have any ideas of how you can accessorise your going out dresses on a budget leave me note at the bottom of this post.

According to the Topshop Stylenotes newsletter i receive weekly the Hippy Chic is going to be in this season and they have a range of ethnic enspired jewellery to help you keep up to date.

With feather inspired necklaces, etched earrings and floral painted wooden beads and coin chains you cant go wrong with the jewellery trend for spring.

I am sure that the other shops like new look, river island, asos and the rest of the high street or online stores will have their own versions as well.

for a look at what they have got visit www.topshop.com or visit their store on your local high street.

If you thought Dune was just for shoes you would be wrong as they have now launched a range of jewellery including statement necklaces, chunky cocktail rings for spring summer 2009, a selection of charm bracelets and other beaded pieces.

I have been on the website www.dune.co.uk and the bracelets range from £28 to £35, the necklaces are around £40-£45 and the rings seem to be around £25 so not the cheapest in the world but you can also save a shopping trip and buy a pair of shoes to justify the postage cost.  he

My personal favorite is the necklace below at a cost of £45..

With it coming up to Summer all the men will be thinking about how much they love their nearest and dearest and be thinking about asking the big question.. WILL YOU MARRY ME… All of the high street shops and online shops will be stocking up on their diamond engagement rings of all different shapes and sizes.

Some of my friends have just got engaged so i have been admiring their rings but everyone has their own taste when it comes to what shape and size they like. I personally would like something different but I dont think that will be happening for a long time so i can only dream..

A good idea my friend got for his now Fiance to go with her diamond engagement ring was to get an engagement necklace the same design as the ring was. I never knew you could do that but after researching it i have now realised you can get diamond earrings as well so i am secretly hoping i get the diamond earrings to go with my diamond ring.

If you go into the shops they are so helpfull in helping you with ring measurements and advice on what they think the lucky lady may like so do not fret help is always on hand to help buy your future fiance her perfect diamond engagement ring but if all else fails take her best friend..

The largest robbery on a jewellery store in Paris, Harry Winston, was taken place around 5.30pm on Thursday 04th December by a group of four men who disguised themselves as women wearing wigs, makeup and dresses.

Police put the estimated total value of the haul at €80m (£70m), making it by far the largest jewel robbery carried out in France. “This is certainly a record,” said Doron Levy, a spokesman for the French union of jewellers. “It exceeds anything we’ve seen here going back years.”

The robbers carried out a quick tour of the boutique, stuffing diamond rings, necklaces, broaches and luxury watches into bags before taking off. Appearing to have knowledge of the layout of the store, they knew the location of supposedly top-secret storage boxes and referred to staff by their first names. Within minutes, the shop was nearly empty, and the robbers had sped off.

This has been dubbed by the French Police as the “steel of the century”

This store are specialists in so-called “ultra-luxe” jewellery, and the American store is a hot spot for international celebrities and, has a reputation for precious stones.
