Jewellery trends pretty much change with clothing trends, and even if you pride yourself on being an avid follower of fashion, keeping up with these trends can be soooo expensive, and few of us have got a lot of spare cash at the moment.

This is why it’s always a good idea to invest in a few classic pieces that will stand the test of time when other trends come and go.

White gold jewellery is always guaranteed to look showstopping, and simply teaming a pair of stud earrings or a little bracelet with a jeans and t shirt combo can look uber glam.

So if you’re sick of splashing out on jewellery trends which come and go, you know what to do…

Finally the spring is here- and what better excuse to splash out on some cute new jewellery to go with your cute new outfits?! (Not that any excuse is needed!)

Spring/ summer fashions are all about pretty florals, and there are some great little pieces of jewellery in the shops at the mo which will look fab with florals.

Pastel coloured beaded bracelets and long necklaces add the perfect finishing touch to floral clothing and will look just as fab in the office as they will for a night on the town.

Chunky wooden jewellery is also bang on trend this spring/ summer and looks amazing with the nude clothing trend.

Get spending!!!

Even though some wedding traditions are going out of fashion and losing their appeal, there are some wedding traditions which are increasing in appeal and people are doing them more and more often.

  • Surviving tradition: More men get down on one knee to propose than did in the 1960s
  • Surviving tradition: Mothers can expect a big bunch of flowers from their offspring by way of thanks.

I was a chief bridesmaid for my best friend’s wedding back in May and it was the best wedding I have ever been to. She kept the tradition of something old, new, borrowed and blue. Kirsty and her husband also gave their mothers a bunch of flowers to say thank you. They also gave the guests favours which were on the tables as everyone sat down - fantastic wedding!

I have been looking for some casual jewellery wear as I seem to be just slobbing about in my quicksilver clothes as they are they make the most comfortable jeans in the world when you want baggy ones.

I have found that New look do lots of quirky little stud earrings or even  hoops depending on the look you are going for but be careful you don’t look like a chav when wearing hoops and casual clothes because I have nearly made this mistake lots of times.

Top shop and River Island do a good range as well but I have found these tend to be more dress up jeweler with their headbands, cocktail rings, over the top necklaces and even bracelets.

I am obsessed with shoes at the moment, the other day I threw away 8 pairs of shoes which I have not even worn in about a year as they are so dated but I convinced myself that they would come back into fashion one day.

Lastly I have to say that I saw a girl going into the gym the other day with a full face of make up on, bangles all the way up her arm, a long necklace on and big hoop earrings, why on earth would she do that??

My friends are all raving about the new line of jewellery on Asos made by Disney.  One of them has bought the Disney Couture 14ct Gold plate “Fairest Of Them All” necklaces (Seen Below) which costs £24.50 online, which Lindsay Lohan has been seen wearing.

I have also found on Asos a 14ct Gold Plate Sitting Tink necklace, a Gold Plated Beauty & the Beast Crest Ring, a Gold And Crystal “Believe” Short Necklace and they have lots of other items on there as well.

My friends got them because they are different and a bit fun.

For more information go to www.asos.com and have a look.

There are loads of sales on at the moment so this means all the shop windows have banners advising of this, i know there is a recession on at the moment but i must say it is an advantage to my shopping habit as it means i get more for my money.

I am loving the Dorothy Perkins sale at the moment and they even had half price jewellery online which i may have purchased a few items.  Looks like i am going to have to buy a bigger jewellery box and even a new wardrobe to go with them.

The sales in my favorite shops beat the buy one get one free offers in the supermarket during the depressing weekly shop.

If you log on to the websites you can sign up for weekly or daily newsletters so that you don’t miss the online deals when they happen and they have some great deals so why not sign up during your lunch break and waste some time and to annoy your friends sign them up but use their work email so they get in trouble.. he

With the summer approaching fast all my friends seem to be stocking up on Bikini’s and other beachwear items.  River Island and Topshop have some gorgeous Bikinis / swimsuits, beach bags and sarongs.  The bikini’s come in a vast range of colours, shapes and styles.

Believe it or not though Primark have loads of bikini’s but the only problem is, is that most of them are not mix and match top and bottom so you cant get the top in a different size to the bottom and i love getting a different top to the bottoms for a different look.

When buying a bikini always remember to add a bit of bling a sparkle by getting oversized jewellery but always remember to take it off when sun bathing….

I have been looking for Thomas Sabo charm’s for my new bracelet and have been lookign on Ebay as i am a new member and they are all fake.

They dont cost that much at all and dont get why people would choose to get things which are fake when you can just get the real thing.

I know everyone is different and have their own opinions but i once had a fake Louis Vuitton handbag and just felt like a skank with it even though most people could not even tell it was fake.

If you dont agree with me leave me a message….

with the end of the school year approaching fast i have been looking online at the best prom dresses and accesories and have not found a lot.  Ebay are selling a few dresses which is a cheap way of buying your dress but be carefull as they may not fit you than you are stuck with it if there is a no returns option.

Mikey Jewellery have loads of funky accesories to go with your perfect prom dress but you can always go for a cheaper option and go to New Look or even try Asda.

prom-dressA good option for a dress would be the likes of Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis or just go online and see what is for offer.

A prom dress is not always for your end of school prom these can also be worn for Black Tie charity events, a special occasion (eg 21st birthday etc) or even just to dress up for a night out with your mates to make it a bit more interesting.

I never had a prom when i left school as we were not the best students in my year so i may not be the best person to be giving advise.

Rihanna has requested that all the jewellery taken as evidence the night she was allegedly attacked by her now ex boyfriend Chris Brown be returned to her.

She was wearing $1.4 million (£1 million) worth of jewellery just hours before the Grammy Awards in February.

The jewellery included earrings and three rings were on loan to the Umbrella singer from an unamed shop but her lawyer, Donald Etra, said he believes the police will have no problem in releasing the jewellery.

“Apparently, initially, the police felt that it would be needed as evidence, ” Mr Etra told the BBC.
“Now the belief is that photographs would be more than sufficient.
“That being the case, we’re asking the district attorney to return the pieces.”
