Instead of dressing your outfit up with jewellery why not try adding a different touch and dressing it up with a little handbag. There are loads of different shapes and sizes out there and it doesn’t always have to cost a fortune. I love a simple LBD, high pair of stilettos and a cute little bag with a bit of sparkle on it and keep the jewellery to a minimum.

Asos has a huge selection and when you click on the picture it will give you an idea of a perfect outfit to team the bag with, I know it is trying to sell their stuff but it always helps when you are useless with outfits like me…

Chanel has brought out a Union Jack handbag which is a big must have for celebrities but 1 in particular Agyness Deyn. Agyness has been getting her money worth out of her £980 bag by wearing it everywhere with everything since the Chanel Temporary shop opening on Dover Street Market in London.

I love this bag and am glad Chanel chose to support the English flag by making a bag out of the pattern.. If only I could afford one on my wages, oh well we can’t have everything can we girls.

The above earrings look like the have a jaw dropping price tag but believe it or not they only cost £18. There is only 1 problem that i find with the Mikey earrings and that is they are sometimes very heavy and hurt your ear lobes halfway through the evening.

Kara Ross is a New York designer that has just recently moved her NY brand to London. Her outlandish use of vibrant colours and precious and semi-precious stones has gained her favour among the A-listers in New York and I can see why. Her jewellery is stunning and totally in for this summer. Bright colours are the way forward this season and a Kara Ross piece would set off your outfit quite nicely!

After designing gold, crystal incrusted Cuffs for a J. Mendel fashion show this summer, Kara Ross started to expand her ‘Diffusion’ collection, designing earrings, rings and necklaces and finally to my delight she has got a handbag collection.

Her use of colour, luxurious materials, exotic skins and precious and semi-precious stones make her bags not only beautiful but unique. Now I’m personally not a fan of using skins or furs for fashion but I love gems on jewellery and accessories and nothing says Bling quite like a huge stone on the front of your handbag!!

Now I’ve not seen a price quoted on either the Kara Ross website www.kararossny.com or Selfridges www.selfridge.com which means it would probably cost you less to buy a car than one of Kara Ross’ handbags but hey a girl can always dream can’t she!!
